Dr.Omar FANDOUGOUMA

Omar Fandougouma, born on September 11, 1985, in Adrar, Algeria, is a distinguished academic and researcher, currently serving as an Associate Professor B at the Higher School of Saharan Agriculture in Adrar. With a PhD in Process Engineering, Omar has established a solid educational background, beginning with his Baccalaureate in Natural and Life Sciences from Adrar in 2003. He further advanced his studies, earning a State Engineer degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry in 2008 and a Magister in Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry in 2011. He achieved his Doctorate in 2023 from the University of Ouargla. Omar has taken on pivotal roles in his academic career, including Deputy Head of Pedagogy and Student Affairs in the Department of Natural and Life Sciences at the University of Adrar from 2016 to 2022. As the Acting Head of the Department from November 2020 to January 2022, he showcased exceptional leadership abilities. His unwavering commitment to educational excellence has driven him to contribute to various committees and to organize both national and international conferences focused on agrosystems and environmental preservation. Omar has a proven track record of guiding numerous research projects, supervising students in physicochemical analyses of water and soil and biological trait screening of native vegetation for phytoremediation. His diverse experiences include internships in Italy and France, where he honed his expertise in biosciences and molecular chemistry. His relentless pursuit of knowledge and innovation is reflected in his active participation in scientific committees, journal reviews, and educational initiatives. Omar’s contributions have substantially impacted both his students and the field of process engineering.
